Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Media Planner for a full service advertising agency, who are pioneers in accountable advertising. As a Media Planner you will be responsible for implementing cost effective and quality DRTV media plans. This position also has the responsibility of providing media plans for short & long form DRTV. In doing so, this position will analyze, research and develop media plans for clients so as to ensure media campaigns deliver positive results.
Requirements:
Gather and analyze marketing data and campaign results to determine client's advertising and media needs.
Analyze media programs, budgets and reports so as to make quality and profitable media plans and buying recommendations.
Compile and coordinate competitive research data and media information, analyze data and issues and report to the VP of Media and/or other members of the team.
Maintain excellent relationships with media buyers.
Review pre and post logs.
Develop recommendations to improve response rates to drive financial performance.
Make suggestions for timing, targeting, budget advertising mediums and other elements based on market research and data gathering.
Work with Media Buyers to plan the campaigns as well as problem-solve.
Troubleshoot media problems in an accurate and timely matter.
Compile and coordinate competitive research data and media information, analyze data and issues and reports so as to provide information to clients.
Liaisons with other departments to ensure effective planning.
Accountabilities
Regularly deliver accurate and effective media planning recommendations.
Make high quality and effective recommendations.
Consistently adhere to the needs of the client when determining plans.
Ensure accuracy when recommending media selection methods.
Maintain up-to-date rate card information and programming.
Accurately present media plans to clients.
Partner with media buying and account management to produce effective media planning.
Complete assignments and/or agreements within deadlines.
Education and Experience
Minimum 2-3 years media planning experience in Direct Response TV media.
1-2 years media buying experience.
Excellent analytical skills
Proficient at problem solving and brainstorming for solutions.
Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to work successfully with a team.
Comfortable with working on multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and/or legs at least 50% of the time.
Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
Ability to remember information such as words, numbers, pictures, and procedures.
Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so other will understand.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to work within a minimal noise level environment
