Description:
This is an opportunity to utilize your Media Buying experience, at a full service advertising agency. The Media Buyer position buys DRTV media time so as to meet client's campaign objectives. In doing so, the Media Buyer works closely with an account team as well as effectively builds and retains relationships with stations so as to maximize negotiating capabilities. Must have at least one year of short form media buying experience.
Requirements:
Responsibilities
Negotiate and buy profitable media time; working knowledge of CORE & NPower Media tools.
Manage Media budget while reaching individual
CPO
goals
Must maintain Quigley-Simpson's clearance percentage of 60% to 70% while reaching
CPO
goals
Implement media plans and strategy as determined by our account management team
Analyze media programs and reports so as to make quality buys
Call stations for clarification on various issues as they arise
Develop and retain good relationships with stations; should maintain daily contact
Review pre and post logs
Liaisons with other departments to ensure clients needs are being met.
Accountabilities
Make high quality profitable media buys
Maintain up-to-date rate card information and programming
Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Establish good station relationships
Ensure accuracy in calculating numbers
Provide good follow up as it relates to answering questions, voicemail and e-mails from stations, and other Quigley-Simpson employees
Complete assignments and/or agreements within deadlines
Education and Experience
Minimum 2-5 years progressive experience buying Direct Response TV media
Excellent negotiating skills
Proficient at problem solving and brainstorming for solutions
Excellent analytical skills
Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal communication skills
